Created in 1902, Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) is the oldest and largest statewide private not-for-profit provider of services to children and families in Florida. The organization offers a full spectrum of prevention and intervention programs that include foster care, adoption, child development, emergency shelters, residential group homes, independent and transitional living for teens, parent education, counseling, mentoring, treatment foe developmentally disabled children and more. CHS, which served more than 86,000 children and families throughout the state in 2007-2008, is headquartered in Winter Park, FL., and offers services in more than 100 locations by more than 1,500 staff members dedicated to providing child-focused, family-centered care.
The Emerald Coast Division provides services that include: adoption, early intervention & child development, case management, substance abuse counseling, birth to five mental health, dependency counseling, parent education and a residential group home. CHS has successfully built a multi-service organization that breaks the cycle of child abuse, heals the pain and trauma associated with abuse and neglect and finds forever families for children who may never be able to go home again.
The staff and family of Custom Technical Services supports CHS and in particular 'Clair's House' in their endeavors and as a contributor wants to reach out to our extended customer family for any support, donations & volunteer assistance they might be able to pass onto CHS.
